Ghost of Spirit Bear by: Ben Mikaelsen Submitted by: Jeremy W.
Plot: This is a great follow-up to Touching Spirit Bear, and they are now back in Minneapolis. They have to deal with school and bullies without letting Cole's anger get out of hand. A mysterious man appears occasionally that turns out to be...(Cliff hanger- You have to read it to find out!)
Why Read? This sequel to Touching Spirit Bear is just as good and worthwhile. The book level is 4.8 and you get 5 points!
Comments: It is just too good that you can't NOT read it!

Eragon By: Christopher Paolini Submitted by: Casey E.
Plot: This book is the first of a long series covering the adventures of a boy named Eragon, who grows up in a mystical place called Alagaësia. He has no parents, and grows up with his uncle and his cousin. His life is pretty boring, untill he finds a polished bright blue stone in the middle of the mountains and he later finds out is a dragon egg. When the dragon hatches, both Eragon's and his dragon, Saphria's, life are in mortal danger because of the goverment. This first book covers Eragon and Saphria traveling throughout their large, unforgiving country, to get to the Varden, who is a rebel group and is in need of their help.
Why Read? This book is absolutely worth reading. If you like fantasy novels, then this is worth the size. The book is slightly boring at the very begining, but please don't give up on it! Once the dragon hatches, the books gets much, much more interesting.
Comments: This book is very big. I would only reccomend it to avid readers. It is also hard to follow, and you can't stop reading it and then start again because it would get too confusing. Also, the book can be rather gruesome at some parts. The best part about it though is that it is worth a lot of AR points. Almost every chapter ends in a cliff hanger, so its hard to put down. Also, I would recommend getting the next book, Eldest, right after you finish Eragon your not confused.
