Whichwood By: Tahereh Mafi Submitted by Abigail E.
Plot: Whichwood is a book about a 13 year old mordeshoor (somebody who has to wash dead bodies to send them to the afterlife, which they call the "Otherwhere") named Laylee who lost both of her parents (her mother died and her father left because of the grief) and meets two random kids named Alice and Oliver who have been selected to help her restore color back into Laylee's life.
Why Read: This book is worth reading because it's like two stories in one. I also thought it was really interesting since it mentions a lot of things that I've never heard about before, but sound very similar to things that we have in real life, like the mordeshoor for example sounds something like a mortician.

Don't Scream By: Joan Lowry Nixon Submitted by Gina F.
Plot: This 165 page turner has a lot of suspense. Once you get into it, you won't be able to put it down. Its full of secrets and foreshadowing.
Why Read: It's a good book to read if you need a few more points for AR, because it's worth 5 points. It's not too big and not too small.
Comments: If you're looking for a good mystery book, this one is perfect.
